Is this Training Yoga Alliance approved?
Yes. Detroit Yoga Lab is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance.
Does this training give me the 200-Hour RYT Certification with Yoga Alliance?
Yes. We are a registered Yoga Alliance 200-Hour Registered Yoga School. Complete the full coursework to graduate from this training with your 200-Hour RYT credential.
What books will I need to purchase?
The books on this list → TT Book List ← are not included in your tuition and are a required purchase to participate in this training. You will also receive PDF's of Naomi's manual.
Do I begin training right away, as soon as I sign up?
Access to your pre-recorded virtual material is available immediately upon registration. It’s ideal to complete Sweet Beginnings Course content first. The sooner you register, the more time you'll have to go through all the home-study content ahead of your in-person gatherings. Register soon!
What's the time commitment?
In a given week you might:
- Watch 5 hours of pre-recorded video content
- Attend one three hour gathering in-person (lecture, discussion, practice and practice teaching)
- Complete 1-hour of homework/reading
- Enjoy 3 - 5 hours of yoga practices
When is the first in-person gathering ?
TBD. There are weekly in-person meetings every week for 3 hours.
Can I graduate at my own pace?
If you move through this program live, with your training class, you’ll graduate in 4 months. After completion of all the training requirements, you’ll be certified. You can always progress at your own pace. Defer certification up to 12 months from your training start date.
What payment options do you accept?
You can pay with a credit card. All pricing is listed in US dollars and payments will be automatically converted to US dollars if you are paying with another currency.
How long does it take for me to earn my 200-Hour certification?
Approximately 4 months from the time training starts.
What are your refund policies?
Refund Policy: Detroit Yoga Lab and Naomi Gold release training content and the manual immediately and is therefore non-refundable. Students have access to the material for 12 months.
Deferment Policy: You may choose to defer enrollment to the following training class anytime up to 30 days prior to the training's start date. This is free of charge. Simply let us know in writing via email. If you need to defer once enrollment closes or after training starts, there is a $650 deferment fee to join the next round of training.
Can you provide me with a “proof of tuition” payment for my own business or tax purposes?
Of course — smart thinking! If you are already a yoga teacher or in a profession in which yoga certification could enhance your business (aka a massage practitioner, nutritionist, personal trainer, or similar), your tuition could be tax-deductible. Please check with your accountant.
